Journal of Trade and Development Policy (JTDP)

Journal of Trade and Development Policy (JTDP) is a bi-annual publication that intends to provide a forum for the exchange of expertise on trade and development and to make contributions to debate that can help harness international trade for development. In the broadest sense, JTDP is intended to focus on theoretical and empirical issues in international trade and their linkages with pro-poor growth and inclusive development. JTDP can aid in bridging the gap between research and policy since there is meagre academic foundation to policy discourse on trade issues in Pakistan.

The overarching theme of the journal is to trace and track the development of international trading activities particularly of Pakistan and South Asia. one of the major challenges faced by the developing countries is to make trade work for development while trying to keep the balance between autonomy and trade openness, design trade policies to be able to achive inclusive economic growth.
